Prevention & Treatment of oral diseases
The most important message of dental studies is that caries and gum disease can not only be prevented but also to halt their development when they are in early stages. Objectives of preventive treatment is the removal of dental plaque (IMP) and strengthening teeth.
Preventive instruments today are:
- Use of toothbrush and floss for good oral hygiene.
- Limit the carbohydrates and especially sugar from the diet.
- The use of fluoride in all its forms, which increases the resistance of the tooth from infection of dental caries
The use of toothbrush by young children is encouraged to establish more good oral hygiene a habit. Effective cleaning of teeth is their parents responsibility.
